Update: Truck was outside of my office building today. Thought I'd give it another try. So I ordered the hamburger steak plate.
I like! Hamburger is def homemade taste, gravy yums...love that they smother enough so your rice doesn't suffer lac thereof. Same mac salad and garlic potato sides. I'm happy!
Will try something new the next time. -

Strike #1 at Tatsuo's Lunch wagon in Halawa Valley. I'd like to go back and try the hamburger steak, I feel everyone needs a redemption. My plate lunch was $12! Take a look, not worth $12!!
I had a mix plate, Tofu/Chicken, 2 pieces tofu and 1 pcs chicken, 90% onion and cabbage. And Roast Pork/Cabbage, 20/80%. Plus canned corn. I think i had a vegetarian lunch. Happy? No. But I am full. Also notice no pricing on the menu. I seen that. But figured. Go to be $8-$10. Nope. -

Quick lunch during work for me means something good but not too expensive. I don't need to eat gourmet at gourmet prices for this specific meal.
Enter Tatsuo's lunch wagon. Found them at Mililani Tech Park. They seem to offer quite a few selections however no pricing shown on their menu, which I wish they had because I don't want to stand there asking for various prices LOL. I'm not sure if it holds for all items but I was told the furikake chicken is $8 mini and $11 regular.
I believe they deep fry on site. The furikake chicken was tasty and still crispy. I would recommend it. The only thing I didn't care for was the skin. I don't care for skin (unless it's the ultra fried kind) but then you miss out on all the good furikake seasoning if you take this skin off (only the edges are a bit crisp).
My mini came with potato-mac salad that tasted just like homemade. I hardly like "commercial" mac salad but this one was good. It also came with corn.
For the price to quality ratio, I would get this again. You can find them on Instagram at tatsuos.lunchwagon for their menus and location stops. -

New Food Truck - 1st time trying them.
Had the chicken furukake with salad (both toss and macaroni) and rice. They have a cooler outside of the food truck filled with can drinks ($2.00). When I called at 12:30 they had just a handful of what they serve. They run out pretty fast so if you wanna try the food, get there early or at least before 11am. Not sure what time they open til what time. I'm guessing til they run out! The price not too bad $8.50 for this plate. They also have cookies and banana bread as well as sushi right next to the window when ordering. Kyle was really nice introduced himself as he gave me my food. Try them out!
Ok, so today I watched for the food truck. Time arrived and ready to serve was 12:30
Not sure if they serve that time everyday. I'll ask next time I FORGET to bring lunch
UPDATE:
Truck arrives anywhere from 10am to 11am. -

Soooo ono! Stopped by after dropping our car to Auto Genius for repairs. Heard great things and these guys did not disappoint!
Fast - Ono Food!
Ordered an array of items: - All plates came with toss salad and a side of kim chee on a bed of rice.
Steak&Onions
- Yessss... we like our steak simple but full of flavor and this was perfect! The onions with their creamy mushroom sauce was on point!
Garlic Chicken
- Fried chicken with their garlic sauce is totally worth it! The sauce is really similar to the mitsuken garlic chicken sauce...
Hamburger Steak (most popular)
- Winnaaaaah! 2 thick patties and the brown gravy and onions are the perfect combo... I can see why this is popular! It's everything you would want from a hamburger steak plate!
Definitely will be back again!!
